Virtual Sanrio Puroland (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”) is provided as a space where fans can enjoy and interact within the world of Sanrio.

All users are required to comply with the VRChat Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, and to understand and follow these Guidelines when using the Service.

1. Basic Principles

This Service is designed to be a safe and comfortable space for everyone.

Please enjoy the experience with consideration for other users, as well as respect for Sanrio characters and the Sanrio world.

2. Code of Conduct

The following actions are prohibited or should be refrained from:

• Behavior or speech that harms or disturbs other users

• Discriminatory, aggressive, defamatory, or harassing remarks

• Approaching others excessively without consent, physical contact, following, or excessive friend requests

• Loud voices, spamming, unauthorized advertising, or excessive particle effects

• Any actions that interfere with other users’ experiences or visibility

3. Avatars and Appearance

Users are encouraged to choose avatars and appearances that are appropriate to the characters and the world of the Service.

Please refrain from using avatars or effects that include:

• Excessive exposure or sexual expressions

• Appearances or effects that may cause discomfort to other users

4. Event Etiquette

During events, please observe the following so that everyone can enjoy the experience:

• Excessive movement, jumping, or shouting in front of the stage

• Blocking other users’ view

• Physical contact or collisions with other users

5. Respect for the Sanrio World and Rights

The following actions are strictly prohibited:

• Expressions or behavior that damage the image of Sanrio characters or the Sanrio world

• Unauthorized commercial activities using Sanrio logos or characters

• Unauthorized collaborations or expressions that may be mistaken as official

• Unauthorized use of third-party characters or trademarks

6. Photography and Video Streaming Guidelines

The Service welcomes photography and streaming by users.

6-1. Photography and Streaming

Except for areas designated as restricted, photography, video recording, streaming, and recording within the Service are permitted.

When filming or streaming, please be mindful not to interfere with other users’ experiences or visibility.

Additionally, do not use expressions that may cause confusion as to whether the content is officially operated, endorsed, or sponsored by Sanrio or the Service.

For information on restricted areas (whether streaming is permitted), please refer to the individual world and content pages on the Virtual Sanrio Puroland and Sanrio Virtual Festival websites.

6-2. Monetization and Use by Streamers Affiliated with Companies

Filming and live streaming within this Service are permitted not only for individual users but also for streamers affiliated with companies, such as VTubers.

Monetization through features provided by video streaming platforms—such as advertisements, tipping functions, memberships, and similar tools—is allowed, provided it remains within the scope of ordinary streaming activities.

However, the following uses are not permitted:

• Use of the Service as a primary advertising medium

• Use as advertising or promotional material

• Use primarily intended to promote product sales or campaign participation

• Any other excessive commercial use that deviates from the purpose of this Service

In addition, use primarily conducted by a company for advertising or promotional purposes does not fall within the scope of permission under this Article.

Users must comply with the following:

• Not infringe upon any third party’s copyrights, trademark rights, portrait rights, or any other rights

• When using music or other content, complete appropriate rights clearance at the user’s own responsibility

• Not make any representation that may cause misunderstanding that the user’s activities are officially affiliated with, sponsored by, supervised by, or otherwise endorsed by the Company

• Comply with Article 2, Article 5, and all other provisions of these Guidelines, and not create content that significantly harms the Sanrio brand or image

The Company is not obligated to continuously monitor user streaming content.

However, in the event of a violation of these Guidelines, a violation of applicable laws, a claim of rights infringement by a third party, or if the Company otherwise determines the content to be inappropriate, the Company may request suspension of the stream, removal of the video, or take any other necessary measures.

6-3. Handling of Characters and Worldview

It is acceptable for Sanrio characters or the world to appear incidentally in photos or streams.

However, the following actions are prohibited:

• Extracting, converting, or redistributing characters or assets

• Using content for merchandise production or resale

• Usage that damages the character image or brand

6-4. Monitoring and Enforcement

We are not obligated to continuously monitor all photography or streaming content.

Streamers are responsible for complying with the terms and community guidelines of their respective platforms.

If violations of these Guidelines occur, or if content is deemed inappropriate, we may request suspension of streaming, removal of content, or take other necessary measures.

If you witness inappropriate behavior or dangerous situations, please contact us via “Contact Us” on the official website.

Depending on the situation, actions such as warnings, temporary suspension, or removal from the Service may be taken.

8. Disclaimer and Other Notes

• As the Service is provided via the internet, issues such as video or audio disruptions and delays may occur depending on network or device conditions.

• Any internet communication fees are the responsibility of the user.

• These Guidelines may be updated without prior notice. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Guidelines.
